INSTRUCTIONS
Before using Tick--Off™, you must install 2 AAA batteries. Unscrew the switch assembly
and empty out the plastic filler tube that is installed in the unit. Insert the two enclosed
AAA batteries, (+) end first. Then screw the switch assembly back onto the
unit. Tick--Off™ is now ready to operate!
Operation of Tick--Off™ is very simple, it works like a penlight.
Once you locate a Tick on your pet, brush away all surrounding hair, keeping it away from
the Tick. It is best if you can see your pet's skin all around the Tick.
While holding the
hair away with one hand, turn Tick--Off™ ON by clicking the switch. You will see
the heating tip start to glow. Bring the tip into close proximity to the Tick's head and
hold it there. After a few seconds, the Tick will feel the heat, and begin to back itself out
of your pet. When it does, click Tick--Off™ OFF, and brush the freed
Tick off of your pet. Then simply destroy it. It's that simple!
Now, repeat this same process for all the Ticks on your pets. Tick--Off™ is safe
to use on people too!
WARNING: be very careful with the heated tip end of the unit. If used improperly,
it could cause burns. The tip of the unit is designed with a unique standoff, which will
keep a gap between the hot tip and your pet, however care must still be taken when operating
the unit. As with all other adult tools and devices, keep
Tick--Off™ out of the reach of children. It should only be used by adults
or under adult supervision. Shut unit off when not in use.
